At A Second Round Glass (ASRG), every handcrafted glass begins long before it reaches our workshop. It starts in the hands of friends, neighbors, and community members who choose to give their bottles a second life. Together, they make up The Bottle Brigade, a growing movement of people who believe that giving back can be simple, meaningful, and shared.
Giving Glass a Second Life
Every day, thousands of bottles are tossed into recycling bins or landfills, and many of them will never be truly recycled. We see those bottles differently. Each one holds potential and a story waiting to be renewed.
The Bottle Brigade invites our community to help us rescue those bottles before they are wasted, transforming them into something beautiful, functional, and lasting.
When you donate your bottles, you are doing more than recycling. You are supporting sustainability, creativity, and local craftsmanship. Your contribution helps reduce waste, empower artisans, and create meaningful products that inspire connection and purpose.
How It Works
Getting involved in the Bottle Brigade is simple and rewarding. Here is how to get started.
Step 1: Create Your ASRG Customer Account
Create a customer account on our website to join the Bottle Brigade. This helps us keep your information in one place, streamline communication, and make future drop-offs or pick-ups easier for you.
Step 2: Collect Your Bottles
Save your used wine, Topo Chico, or specialty glass bottles. We prefer labels that are printed directly on the glass or come off easily.
Step 3: Choose Drop-Off or Pick-Up
Once your account is created, please complete the Bottle Brigade form. You can select whether you would like to drop bottles off at our workshop in Montgomery, Texas, or request a local pick-up.
Step 4: Be Part of the Process
Every bottle you donate becomes part of something meaningful. Our team cleans, cuts, sands, and fire polishes each bottle by hand, turning it into refined drinkware for our collections. Many of our signature designs, including the Topo Chico Collection, begin with a Bottle Brigade donation.
Step 5: See the Impact
Visit the workshop, explore our 360-degree virtual tour, or follow us on social media to see how your bottles are transformed. You will witness firsthand how community effort becomes handcrafted art.
